Rhenium disulfide (ReS2) is a semiconducting two-dimensional material with marked in-plane structural anisotropy. This lattice anisotropy the stem of many quasi-1D properties observed in this material. In work, we focus on strain engineering optical and vibrational through mechanical deformations lattice. particular, exciton energy can be shifted by applying uniaxial strain, gauge factor six times more pronounced when applied along b-axis than perpendicular to ReS2 Moreover, also how two most prominent Raman modes shift strongly depends alignment between direction a- b-axes
